I’ve had the M1 MacBook Air for a bit over a year now. I’m writing on it right now. I’m still just astounded by how fast and, importantly, how cool it is. I constantly switch between my work machine — a 2020 Intel MacBook Pro — and this machine and my god, Intel should be ashamed. Absolutely ashamed.

It is so fucking lethargic compared to this machine. Again, a ‘Pro’ versus an ‘Air’. And it runs so fucking hot. All the time. Basically no matter what you’re doing. The battery lasts 3–4 hours max. The battery on the Air — again, a year in — really is like 10 hours. Just insane.

I finally just ordered an M1 Pro MacBook Pro for work. Good riddance Intel.
